Schwartz and Architecture collaborates with Andre Caradec of S/U/M Architecture to design and fabricate a major renovation upon a 1950s San Francisco residence in the Bernal Heights neighborhood. The goal is to make the home look and feel expansive, even though it has limited square footage. Key to the design is a new staircase, strategically placed to accomodate a future third floor addition, which transforms the entryway and upper level. The end result is something to fathom and behold.
