There’s something very fascinating about a home on top of a hill in Okayama, Japan. Designed by Keisuke Maeda of UID Architects, the “Pit House” sits on stilts that lift the structure above the ground with a concrete cylinder core forming the center to which the whole house is built around. Curving levels house the bedrooms, kitchen, etc. while the whole space is borded by a rock garden and indoor trees.
