In this animated short, 291 letters and 2,454 single photographs painstaking arrange a captivating narrative on the history of typography. Tracing all the way back to Johannes Gutenberg and his revoluntionary invention of the letterpress printing system, Canadian graphic designer Ben Barret-Forresttells narrates a brief account of all the significant developments of the last 500 years, including the introduction of italics and serifs, san-serifs and pixel type.
