No human hair was harmed or involved in the making of the product…

Freitag, a Zurich based lifestyle company best known for up-cycling truck tarps for reuse on bags and accessories, is detouring its emphasis a bit. The environmentally conscious company has, for the first time, developed a new in-house textile that will never have to see a landfill in its entire existence. After five years of researching, the Freitag F-ABRIC, a 100% compostable textile made from European bast fibers, is now in full fruition as it is finally durable enough for the Freitag facility employees to wear it as workwear.

Available items from the collection include the E550 workwear Plant-pant, long and short sleeve shirting, and satchel bags. And while the products are currently only available at Freitag’s flagship store in Hamburg, Germany, the company has released a look book featuring the Freitag Bros and a video to accompany.
